Before you sign with anyone

The worries we hear most — and how we answer them

A new home or ADU is a $300,000–$500,000 decision. You should not have to make it through a translator, or take a contractor's word on faith. Here is how we handle the concerns families raise with us.

“Will anyone explain this to me in my own language?”

Every conversation — technical, legal, and financial — happens in Mandarin, Cantonese, or English, whichever you prefer. Not a translated brochure: the actual working relationship, from first call to final walkthrough.

“Who do I call when something goes wrong — the architect, the permit person, or the builder?”

Us. One team handles design, permitting, and construction. There are no handoffs for you to manage and no vendors pointing fingers at each other.

“What if the price grows after we start?”

You get a written scope that spells out what is included at each phase before work begins, and payments are tied to completed milestones — not promises. See exactly how our process works.

“Is an ADU even allowed on my lot?”

California law now permits ADUs on most residential lots, but every city applies its own rules. We evaluate your property and explain your realistic options in plain terms — before you spend anything. Learn about ADU construction.

“How do I deal with the city and the permits?”

You don't — we do. We prepare the drawings, submit plans, and manage plan-check and permit applications directly with your city, and we tell you honestly how long your city usually takes.

“How do I know you're legitimate?”

Don't take our word for it. Our California license (#1137539), $2,000,000 insurance, and contractor bond are published on this site with instructions for checking them yourself on the state's official website. Verify our credentials.

A new name — not a new team. Poly Construction is a new brand, and we won't pretend otherwise: you won't find years of online reviews yet. What you will find is principals with real industry experience, a valid California license you can check in two minutes, and people who will sit down with you — in your language — and answer every question before you commit to anything.
